Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis) has been used for thousands of years by the Greeks, Egyptians and the Chinese. Common uses for Marshmallow Root include coughs, congestion and sore throats by drinking the tea. This root can be found in Europe along with Africa.

Marshmallow Root is antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-mucilaginous making it an excellent herb for healthy skin.
